Role Overview: Dental Nurse

Provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to Practice Clinicians. The daily responsibilities of a dental nurse include:

• Reception duties, including answering phones and greeting patients
• Handling patient queries
• Processing payments
• Booking appointments and follow-ups
• Sterilising and preparing equipment for dentists
• Managing patient records
• Supporting patient wellbeing and enhancing their dental experience
• Cleaning dental areas, including chairs
• Managing stock of equipment and supplies

Additional duties may include supporting dentists and senior team members to provide effective patient care.

Qualifications and Working Hours

• This role is supported by a Level 3 advanced apprenticeship in Dental Nursing, accredited by City & Guilds, delivered nationwide through blended e-learning accessible from anywhere in the UK.
• Upon completion, you will receive a Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3, recognized by the General Dental Council for registration as a dental nurse.
• Functional Skills in English and Maths Level 2 are required unless exemptions apply.

Working hours are within the practice's opening times, which are:

• Monday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Tuesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Wednesday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Saturday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Sunday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
