Job summary

Bupa Dental Care Gloucester Painswick Road is offering an Apprentice Dental Nurse position. You will earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience and chairside support to clinicians in a welcoming practice.

Initial training leads to Level 3 Dental Nurse qualification over 18–24 months; Level 2 English and Maths GCSE equivalents required before endpoint assessment, with strong emphasis on patient care and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform chairside patient care.

What to expect from the Dental Nurse Apprenticeship

Our apprenticeship gives you the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to become a GDC‑registered Dental Nurse. You’ll earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience as you provide great patient care and support clinicians chairside.

You’ll also build core skills in areas such as:

• Oral anatomy and dental procedures
• Infection prevention and control
• Patient care and health promotion
• Safety, compliance and managing clinical situations

Qualification you’ll achieve

Level 3 Dental Nurse qualification completed over 18–24 months

Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*–C equivalents) required before your end point assessment — we’ll support you if you need to achieve these.

As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you'll join a friendly and experienced team who are passionate about helping new colleagues learn and develop. You'll gain hands‑on experience across a range of treatments, including general, cosmetic, periodontal, and restorative dentistry, while being supported throughout your apprenticeship by knowledgeable clinicians and dental nurses.
