Please note that this is an apprenticeship position and therefore anyone with more than six months professional experience working as a data analyst or who holds a degree or Master’s degree in a subject such as Data Science, Business Analytics or Maths will not be eligible.

You will also need to commit to completing a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship.

Are you looking to start your data analysis career? Look no further! The Prince Albert Community Trust is seeking an Apprentice Data Analyst to join our Central Support Team.

The role of Apprentice Data Analyst is a new post within the Trust to support the progress of students through a broad range of activities relating to the purposeful use and analysis of data. The Apprentice Data Analyst will play a key role within our Central Support team, working with our Trust Lead for Data Systems to develop the use of data to inform Senior Leaders decision making. Essentially there are three components to the role, each of which will draw upon a broad skill set: data collection, data management and analysis, and data sharing.

We require someone who:

  • Has an interest in data analysis and can use data to answer questions and drive action.
  • Has strong planning, organisation, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Can work independently and in a team environment.
  • Has numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills, including the use of applications such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Is detail-oriented and has strong attention to detail.
  • Has excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Is committed to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Has the ability to train others, i.e., in using our assessment system to enter data, or in how to use a Business Intelligence tool.
  • Has a willingness to learn and continuously improve technical and professional skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding children and to being proactive with regards to Data Protection.

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 or A-C, including English and Mathematics.
  • 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grades A*-C in any subject but preferably one in a numerical or computing subject.

Please note: Applications are encouraged from graduates looking for an apprenticeship route to a data consultancy career.

Salary: £20,000 - £24,000

Hours: 36.5hrs per week

Location: this role is office based so there will be a requirement to commute to B42 2TU on a regular basis.
