As a Customs Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, your role is to optimise logistics to keep our global supply chains running smoothly. Your work impacts global commerce, from ensuring timely product launches to facilitating international trade compliance.

Join our Customs team at our Dartford site to gain hands-on experience in managing international trade regulations, ensuring compliance, and facilitating the movement of goods across borders. You will work with diverse customers and partners to ensure successful transportation and delivery of goods.

How you create impact

Our 24-month Apprenticeship programme combines practical training with study towards the International Freight Forwarding Level 3 Apprenticeship standard.

You will learn to:

• Complete import/export entries and ensure customs compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage customs formalities.
• Support internal audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Handle information management and data integrity.
• Deliver excellent customer service and adhere to SOPs and SLAs.
• Analyse and improve business processes for operational efficiency.

What we would like you to bring

• Minimum of five GCSEs at grades 3–9 / A*-D, including Maths & English.
• Passion for customer service, strong work ethic, effective communication.
• Good planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.
• Residency in the EEA for at least the last 3 years; visa sponsorship not available.

This is an entry-level position; experienced candidates may consider other roles.

Key Information:

• Fixed-term 2-year apprenticeship contract.
• 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday, days.
• On-site at Dartford (Crossways Business Park, DA2 6QE).
