Job description

The Jet2.com Crew Planning team is responsible for planning all pilots and cabin crew rosters, ensuring they know where they need to be to take our customers on holiday.

This area of the business aims to balance the needs of crew colleagues and the company.

As an Apprentice, you will undertake an Institute for Apprenticeship & Technical Education (IfATE)-approved Level 3 Transport Scheduler Apprenticeship, designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to become a competent member of our Crew Scheduling teams.

The training and assessment will cover areas such as:

  1. Operational Planning
  2. Resource Allocation
  3. Compliance & Safety
  4. Performance Management
  5. Digital Systems Management
  6. Disruption Management
  7. Data Analysis & Reporting
  8. Legislation & Compliance Auditing
  9. Professional Development

Upon successful completion of the scheme and an End Point Assessment conducted by an independent assessment organization, you will receive a certificate evidencing competence in a Transport Scheduling environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with planning flight crew training and recurrent requirements.
  • Producing and delivering crew rosters on time, meeting monthly deadlines.
  • Ensuring rosters comply with Flight Time Limitations and contractual requirements.
  • Using roster data to create fair and balanced schedules.
  • Supporting the management of annual leave for crew colleagues.
  • Assisting the Crew Planning team with additional tasks as requested.

Candidate requirements:

  • Age 18+ and holding a valid Full UK Driving Licence.
  • GCSE Grade 4-9 (or equivalent) in English & Maths.
  • Experience or education in aviation is advantageous.
  • A strong desire to learn, with good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.

Working hours will be as required to accommodate training and assessments.
