Park Plaza Riverbank London Hotel is seeking an Apprentice Commis Chef for a 15-month training programme in a fast-paced kitchen. You will gain hands-on experience while attending college one day per week to complete your Level 2 Commis Chef programme.

The role involves on-the-job training, cooking tasks, and working with the team to ensure guest satisfaction, with benefits including hourly pay, pro-rata holidays, and staff discounts.

Responsibilities

As An Apprentice Commis Chef, You Will

• Possess full-time Right to Work status in the UK and have been a resident for at least 3 years
• Have a strong interest in food - preparing and cooking ingredients
• Attend college 1 day per week to complete your Level 2 Commis Chef programme
• Complete tasks relevant to but not limited to the kitchen function in an efficient way, preparing and cooking food orders in accordance with the hotel menu, delivering on time, and liaising with relevant teams to ensure guest satisfaction
• Proactively assists in preparing, serving and storing all products to ensure the best quality, in a cost-effective and efficient manner, considering food costs within specified budgets, and minimising wastage
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when personalising external and internal guests’ needs and the changing demand and priorities of the business
• Create a welcoming atmosphere and personalised service for each individual external and internal guest having an eye for detail and responding appropriately to guest and leadership feedback
• Have previous paid or work experience in a professional kitchen (desirable) or demonstrate a clear passion for the culinary arts
