Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking motivated individuals to start an Apprenticeship as Clinical Support Workers across clinical areas. The 15-month programme provides hands-on, patient-facing training while achieving a nationally recognised qualification.

Full-time is encouraged, with part-time options from 30 hours per week, including varied shifts and study days to balance learning with experience.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum age - 18 for clinical roles.
• Funding cannot be used for training or knowledge, skills and behaviours the apprentice has already achieved.
• Apprentices cannot be enrolled on another apprenticeship or training programme that is funded through government funds; this includes student finance.
• Government funding rules state that individuals must have eligible residency status for a minimum of 3 years and the right to work in the UK. We do not sponsor visas for this apprenticeship post.
• Learners must be able to complete the apprenticeship within the allocated programme length (e.g. visa length must cover the full duration). The programme length will be reflected in their Fixed Term Contract.

Aufgaben

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (washing, dressing, personal care).
• Support patients with eating and drinking and help them move safely and comfortably.
• Provide reassurance, emotional support and compassionate care to patients.
• Attend study days, complete coursework and undertake practical assessments to demonstrate learning.
