A local training organization is looking for a motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join a close-knit team. This unique role offers hands-on training in bespoke timber construction, working closely with experienced craftsmen. Apprentices will assist in building custom cabins and learn various carpentry skills. The position requires GCSEs in Mathematics and English, and ideal candidates should have a driving license and vehicle due to travel needs. A permanent role may be offered after completion of the apprenticeship.
Qualifications
GCSEs in Mathematics and English (grade 3–9*).
Ability to commute to various job sites in Gloucestershire.
Driving license and own vehicle preferred.
Responsibilities
Assist with the construction and installation of bespoke timber cabins.
Accurately measure, mark, cut, and prepare timber components.
Support the fitting and assembly of structural frames and features.
Help with finishing work, ensuring high-quality finishes on timber surfaces.
Participate in the repair and refurbishment of existing structures.
Maintain tidy and safe work areas, following health and safety guidelines.
