The Opportunity:
As an Apprentice Care Support Manager, you will embark on a comprehensive training programme that combines practical work experience with formal study. You will work directly with our area managers, gaining invaluable insights into all aspects of care service delivery and management. This role is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become a future leader in the care sector.
Key Responsibilities (with increasing autonomy as you progress):
- Shadowing & Learning: Work alongside experienced Care Support Managers, observing and learning about daily operations, team leadership, and quality assurance.
- Care Plan Support: Assist in the development, review, and implementation of individualised care plans, ensuring they meet the needs and preferences of our service users.
- Staff Support: Learn about staff rostering, supervision, and support, helping to ensure our care team is well-supported and motivated.
- Compliance & Administration: Assist with maintaining accurate records, supporting with audits, and understanding CQC regulations and compliance requirements.
- Service User Engagement: Support with communication between service users, their families, and care staff, building positive relationships.
- Safeguarding Awareness: Gain a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures, contributing to a safe and protective environment.
- Team Contribution: Actively participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and supporting the smooth running of services.
- Professional Development: Dedicate time to off-the-job training, working towards your Level 4 or 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent.
- Rota Management: Supporting with completion of rota's and ensuring all shifts are covered.
- Any other tasks required as you settle and grow in your role.

- Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office suite).
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above are desirable.
- A full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle is beneficial due to potential travel requirements.
