Job description

CoTrain is a program under SECBE. As a shared apprenticeship scheme and a Flexible Job Apprenticeship Agency partly funded by CITB, we provide a route into the industry for anyone wishing to complete an apprenticeship. We employ and mentor the apprentice and place them with our construction partners and colleges to gain the correct experience and skills to complete their qualifications.

If the apprentice is successful, it is hoped that it will lead to full-time employment or progress onto another apprenticeship within the construction industry, or consider other avenues such as office management, human resources, or recruitment.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the procurement team in all financial aspects of the business.
  • Document control of direct employees and sub-contractors.
  • Answer telephone enquiries from clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • Document control of plans, drawings, delivery instructions, and invoices.
  • Perform all office duties associated with a normal office environment.

This apprenticeship will gain a Level 3 Business Administrator (A-Level) qualification, as well as Functional Skills in English and Maths if required.

Delivery will be via Guildford College, usually as a day release program. Additional CIPS training is also required to ensure competency in all financial matters used in the office.

Working Week: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm with a lunch break of 1 hour each day. You will work from the office Monday to Thursday and from home on Friday.
