Job summary

Egis UK is recruiting a Trainee Building Surveyor to join our Apprenticeship programme in Edinburgh. You will support the Building Surveying team on projects, visit sites to collect data, and learn to use AutoCAD and Revit to support survey and design work.

Qualifications

  • Standard entry requirements of university degree course.
  • GCSE English and Maths (grade 4/C or above) or equivalent qualification.
  • 96 UCAS tariff points.

Responsibilities

  • Support Building Surveying team on general project and survey works.
  • Visit sites and buildings, capture site data and liaise with senior colleagues to develop survey reports.
  • Develop understanding of AutoCAD and Revit to support survey and design work.

The role will include:
  • SupportingourBuilding Surveying team on general project and surveyworks.
  • Visitingsites and buildings, capturingsite data and liaisingwith senior colleagues to develop survey reports.
  • Developingan understanding of Auto-cad and Revit tosupport withsurvey and design work.
  • Representingthe company values at all times,bringinga positive professional manner.
  • Beingresponsible, self-motivated and workingwell with team members.
  • Workingtowards achieving aBuildingSurveyingdegree and subsequently Chartership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

You will need to meet the standard entry requirements of the University degree course, e.g aGCSE Grade 4 (or C) or above in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualification-96 UCAS tariff points

Alternatively, you will have:

Completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Surveying or an Advanced Apprenticeship in Construction Technical through which a Construction and Built Environment Diploma with a minimum DD profile was obtained or through which a Construction and Built Environment Extended Diploma with a minimum MMM profile was obtained, or an equivalent qualification;
