Job summary

Brompton Bicycle is offering a hands-on apprenticeship at our Greenford workshop, where you will learn to inspect, service and repair bicycles to high standards. You will complete the Level 2 Bicycle Mechanic Apprenticeship (ST0622) with workplace learning, online study and two block-release Cytech courses.

We value curiosity, practical problem solving and a strong work ethic. The program lasts about 18 months, with End Point Assessment, and leads to Cytech accreditation.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on apprenticeship in bike mechanics requiring enthusiasm to learn.
• No prior pro bike mechanic experience required, just curiosity and willingness to learn.
• Eligibility to work in England and meet training provider requirements in maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Learn bicycle inspection, servicing, repair and maintenance alongside experienced mechanics.
• Diagnose faults accurately and use correct tools, methods and information.
• Develop capability across complete bike servicing, wheel building and bike preparation.
• Explain completed work clearly and provide a professional bike handover to customers.
• Maintain accurate service and training records and follow health, safety and quality procedures.
