Summary:

An As-Laid Technician in civil engineering documents and verifies the actual construction details of infrastructure projects. The role involves creating accurate records of completed works, ensuring they match planned designs and specifications. As an apprentice, you will learn the key skills and methodologies required to become an As-Laid Technician.

Specific Responsibilities/Tasks:

As an Apprentice, you will support the As-Laid team with the following tasks:

• Identify and complete daily visits by monitoring and utilizing job packs received from the client, ensuring works are completed within the scheduled time and Streetworks SLAs.
• Attend jobs and capture cable routes following company directives, ensuring completion according to Streetworks standards and SLAs.
• Manage your workload efficiently by printing internal planners and cross-referencing works with client-provided job packs, ensuring timely completion within SLAs.
• Complete As-Laid log sheets accurately within the Works Management System promptly and within SLAs.
• Provide cover and support across the wider team during absences, as needed.
• Submit accurate As-Laid records to the client within 5 days of installation.
• Keep company vehicles clean, tidy, and presentable.

Qualifications & Training:

• Full clean driving license
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• GCSEs Grade 9-4 or equivalent
