Responsibilities

  • Attend college regularly and complete all college work.
  • Pass all required exams within the designated timeframe.
  • Attend the workplace during college holidays.
  • Observe and shadow experienced Engineers and Mechanics.
  • Participate in all training as required.
  • Comply with the DEA Aviation code of conduct.
  • Act safely and consider local compliance and safety.
  • Undertake reasonable activities as requested by Hangar management.

Description
DEA Aviation is now looking for an Apprentice Aircraft Mechanic to join the team in September 2025.

Through a blend of classroom and workshop learning with our learning provider in combination with hands-on experience on our fleet of aircraft, the apprenticeship is an opportunity to start a career in Aircraft Engineering with an operator leading the way with ISR capability.

The first year of this Apprenticeship will be off-site in Kemble/Humberside, then shifts will be assigned in year 2.

Key Responsibilities
  • To attend college regularly, completing all college work to the best of ability and making submissions within designated deadlines (no holidays to be taken during college term time)
  • To pass all required exams within the timeframe designated by the training provider
  • To attend the workplace during college holidays or if college is closed for any reason
  • To observe and shadow experienced Engineers and Mechanics to learn the skills, processes and techniques required in order to carry out the role
  • To participate in all training as required by our learning provider
  • To behave responsibly at all times, complying with the DEA Aviation code of conduct and acting as an ambassador for DEA Aviation (Gamston)
  • To act in a safe manner at all times giving consideration to local compliance and safety requirements
  • To undertake any reasonable activities as requested by Hangar management in line with the role
