Job description

Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a full-time Apprentice to support the Children Team located in our Peterborough office. The position is full time and hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5.30pm with 1 hour unpaid break. You will be studying a NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.

Activities:

Will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide administrative and typing support to the Children Department
  • Taking telephone messages and or making appointments
  • Opening and Closing Files
  • Archiving Original Documents
  • Supporting Fee Earners in the Department
  • Providing support to the main office including main reception and post dispatch to cover lunch times, holidays and sickness as and when required.
  • Undertaking photocopying and scanning of documents
  • To undertake regular training as identified by the appraisal process
  • Assisting in the preparation of bundles;
  • Preparing interim bills;
  • Assisting in the applications for legal aid;
  • Assisting in diary management.
  • To assist with any other duties as required by the business

Skills and attributes:

You must be a good communicator as you’ll be dealing with the other staff members and members of the public. Good organisational skills would also be beneficial
