Summary
We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant Apprentice in Otford to complete a level 3 apprenticeship. At Jardox, we are the "Taste Behind the Brands." We are a 'one stop shop' for all savoury ingredients, specialising in stocks, gravies, curry pastes, marinades, glazes, sausage & burger seasonings and herb & spice based products.

Wage
£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Hours Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Assisting the Accounts team with day-to-day activities
  • Matching purchase invoices with delivery notes and resolving any discrepancies that are found
  • Assisting with the accounting period ends within SAP, our accounting software
  • Coding and posting the invoices into our accounting software
  • Arranging payments to our suppliers
  • Handling and resolving general supplier issues by telephone and/or email
  • Liaising as required with other departments and with management
  • Assisting colleagues and senior management with projects as required
  • General office administrative duties

What you'll learn

  • Record transactional data.
  • Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
  • Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  • Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
  • Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
  • Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

A day a week at college as day release.

Please note that the bus service is poor, and it is important that you drive, can walk or bike to TN14 5EL or can easily get a train to Otford or Bat and Ball and then walk or bike the 20-30 minutes to the site.
