Looking for a keen learner who is self-motivated and interested in a career in accountancy. The apprentice will gain the knowledge and experience from a fully qualified accountant and will be exposed to many areas of accounting and taxation.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Duties will include analysing data onto spreadsheets and accounting software, bookkeeping and VAT Returns, helping prepare accounts and tax returns.
Over the apprenticeship the candidate will be able to do the following:
- Prepare accounts to at least trial balance level
- Prepare simple accounts to review stage
- Prepare tax returns
- Prepare bookkeeping and vat returns
- Understand and prepare statutory documentation for businesses

What you'll learnCourse contents
- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

Training schedule- The successful candidate will be required to attend weekday courses at First Intuition Chelmsford, Southend or Colchester to study towards their AAT qualification
- In addition to this, you will have mentoring towards the apprenticeship knowledge, skills, and behaviours

Essential qualificationsGCSE in:
Maths and English (grade 4 / C or above)
Desirable qualificationsA Level in:
Any (grade C or above)
