Job Description:

Role: Senior Associate/Assistant Manager in the UK AIFM business, providing AIFM, Appointed Representative (“AR”), and Operator Services, with a focus on regulatory compliance, client management, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage analysts monitoring ARs and daily operations of the sub-team.
  • Manage client relationships through various communication channels.
  • Assess risks posed by ARs and manage resolutions.
  • Assist with internal compliance requirements, including regulatory capital assessments and risk management.
  • Provide opinions on compliance matters for internal and external clients.
  • Participate in business development activities, including pitching services.
  • Review onboarding processes for ARs and Approved Persons.
  • Lead meetings with clients to discuss business plans and regulatory updates.
  • Oversee ongoing monitoring and compliance oversight of ARs.
  • Review marketing materials and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with team to resolve regulatory issues and stay updated on regulatory changes.
  • Update and review compliance and operational policies regularly.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Regulatory/legal experience related to the Appointed Representative regime and/or fund launching.
  • Understanding of control frameworks and risk management processes.
  • Excellent numeracy, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Management experience or interest in team leadership.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and provide practical guidance.
  • Attention to detail and lateral thinking about FCA rules and regulations.
  • Problem-solving skills for various situations with little precedent.
  • Team-oriented mindset and proficiency in MS Office.

Education/Qualifications:
