Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the UK seeks a technical leader to guide a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering AI-enhanced products, internal tools, and platform capabilities. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with people leadership to build scalable, secure ML services while driving innovation and operational excellence at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in backend, full-stack, ML engineering, or distributed systems.
• 2+ years in technical leadership or senior mentoring roles.
• Hands-on experience deploying ML-powered services into production.
• Strong Python and Java in active production use.
• Experience with Snowflake, Spark, Databricks, CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
• Security-conscious system design and SecOps practices.
• Initiative, independence, and broad full-stack curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of ML engineers, QA engineers, and a UI developer.
• Define technical direction for AI-enabled services, internal tools, and platform components.
• Drive architecture for deployment pipelines, inference APIs, and data/feature systems.
• Ensure high-quality delivery across code, testing, docs, and observability.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, and ML Research to prioritise work.
• Foster modern AI development practices, including MLOps and automation.
• Set and enforce DevOps and SecOps standards across services and pipelines.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and contribute to roadmap planning.
