An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic candidates to develop the necessary skills to deliver software and applications support to staff across all Council services.
Based in Midlothian House (home/hybrid working available), as part of the Business Applications Team within Corporate Resources, you will provide support for staff utilizing Council systems and applications including Open Revenues (Council Tax, Revenues & Benefits), ONE Housing (Housing), CivicaPay (Payment Acceptance), and D360 (Document Management & Workflow).
You will support the implementation, operation, and ongoing development of these systems/applications and associated business processes, delivering training to system users as required. You will also be part of a project team delivering an exciting transformation programme for Open Revenues and Customer Payments.
This role is suitable for ambitious individuals interested in developing a career in software/application support.
Essential: Educated to SVQ level 3 or in a relevant subject such as HNC Information Technology, Information Management, Business Information Systems, or equivalent competency, along with evidence of numeracy and literacy at Higher Grade.
Essential: Evidence of advanced MS Excel skills; developed interpersonal skills for implementing procedural changes; understanding of legislation related to information retention.
Desirable: Ability to produce and manipulate data using query and reporting tools; previous systems administration experience, including helpdesk services; experience delivering staff training; experience in designing training and procedural documentation.
