Job description

As an Application Support Engineer, you will join our UK Lifecycle Services group supporting customers through a blend of upgrades, application deployments, and maintenance activities on their DeltaV DCS/SIS.

You will primarily engage with customers within a region of the UK, including offshore installations, to build relationships and become their trusted adviser.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  1. Project Execution – responsible for design, installation, and commissioning of project deliverables.
  2. Customer Support – assist customers in resolving Emerson product service and application issues, and coordinate support from the Emerson Global Support Centre as needed.
  3. Sales Support – assist with proposal estimates, site surveys, demonstrate Emerson products to potential customers, and provide guidance on product application and after-sales service. Proactively identify service and product opportunities and support their pursuit.
  4. Field Service – support LTSA contract activities, including maintenance, DeltaV system administration, system health checks, and be available for the On Call rota to provide 24/7 emergency response.
  5. Safety Systems – perform maintenance and repair work on DeltaV systems.

Who You Are:

You are proactive, self-motivated, and capable of managing your own time. You have experience in computer, network, and control system architectures, including virtualization. You are familiar with installing Windows OS and applications, and have knowledge of DeltaV products or similar DCS systems. You are skilled in authoring and reviewing project documentation and possess excellent communication skills for interacting with customers. Some knowledge of control system configuration, graphic modifications, and third-party interfaces like OPC, Modbus, or Profibus is desirable.

  • Fluent English speaker, as most client interactions are in English
