Overview

We are looking an Application Support Analyst with 3 to 5 years proven track of working in Test environment ensuring all applications are being fully supported in Test/ Non production mode. 5+ years of experience in Test/ Non production deployment management experience. This role is to support and execute deployments in non-prod environments.

Responsibilities

• Work in a complex, multi‑stream application environment
• Deploy builds into non production environments
• Work closely with Development and Release Management to solve complex Build/Deployment processes throughout all phases of the software
• Ensure all changes fall within application maintenance windows
• Create builds (Hotfix and/or full EAR) using information provided by development teams and use for deployment across environments
• Identify processes in need of automation or scripting
• Build and maintain automatic deployment scripts
• Coordinate with Configuration Management, DBAs, Customer Infra teams and Application Development teams as part of deployment execution
• Understand deployment release notes and create handover release notes to production deployment teams
• Manage configuration versions for different development streams in versioning and revision control systems
• Troubleshoot deployment related issues and collaborate with development, application and infrastructure teams to resolve them
• Understand open/distributed systems and Agile framework
• Awareness of ITIL framework
• Deliver results under pressure
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Main Skills

• Good working knowledge of distributed technologies
• Experience deploying applications in complex, multi‑stream environments
• Experience deploying Java/J2EE based applications
• Experience deploying middleware components such as IHS, IIS, WebMethods and WAS
• Deployments of core applications and middleware layers
• ITIL framework awareness or certification
• Understanding of Oracle and MS-SQL DBs and experience creating and running deployment scripts, data extraction and data insertion
• Strong Unix/Linux OS knowledge
• Proficient in deployment of applications in .NET and Java using Jenkins, Maven and SVN
• Experience with middleware deployments like WAS, IBM HTTP Server (IHS), MQ and WebMethods
• Experience running DB scripts (Oracle and MS SQL)

Contract and Application Details
