Applications Support Analyst - Banking Systems - Liverpool, Liverpool

This role is based in Liverpool and is a permanent position within the Cloud & Infrastructure industry. The client is Experis, a prominent UK wealth management firm with a history dating back to 1742.

Location: Liverpool, United Kingdom

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 per annum + Benefits (Hybrid Working, Pension, Private Healthcare, Holidays, Sick Pay)

Qualifications: CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Office Specialist (Office 365), ITSM tools like ServiceNow, MS Teams, O365, and relevant IT support experience in the financial sector.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing day-to-day operations of Line of Business Applications within agreed OLAs and SLAs.
  2. Providing professional support via calls, tickets, and escalations related to applications.
  3. Building relationships with suppliers and managing these relationships effectively.
  4. Supporting incident management, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving incidents efficiently.
  5. Prioritizing incidents based on urgency and severity.
  6. Communicating professionally with stakeholders via various channels.
  7. Owning incidents and ensuring resolution, keeping customers informed.
  8. Participating in problem management to reduce incident volume.
  9. Collaborating within the IT team and supporting operational activities.
  10. Validating incident classifications and adjusting priorities as needed.
  11. Supporting IT initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
  12. Supporting shift roster to maintain appropriate resourcing.

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant certifications and experience in IT support within financial services.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce clear documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
