Applications Specialist - Orthopaedics - Brighton

Our client is a fast-growing specialist medical device company that has been developing and manufacturing innovative medical devices for intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) for more than 25 years and is one of the leading companies worldwide offering a wide range of IOM systems and services.

The primary role of the Orthopaedic application specialist is to support the Orthopaedic business within the Neuro department within the designated region.

This will be via performing intraoperative monitoring across degenerative spinal cases such as scoliosis, lateral approach XLIF, ACDF and other procedures. Additionally, supporting interventional pain treatment procedures such as radio-frequency and Cryoneurolysis for denervation. This is primarily a clinical service role.

You will work in line with the SOPs outlined by the Clinical Governance Manager to ensure safe operating practices for patients and within the hospital settings are maintained.

You will report to the Regional Clinical Service manager and the Regional Sales Manager to support the strategic goals both clinically and commercially within the designated region.

The role is field based with home office administration time as required, there is an expectation to commute to different hospitals throughout your designated region with occasional national travel when required

Candidate profile:

  • Experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring OR a degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., neurophysiology, neuroscience, or a related field) seeking a role such as this
  • Ability to adapt and succeed in a highly skilled clinical environment
  • Excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient safety/care
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary medical team
  • Proactive individual who works well independently and as part of the team
  • Eagerness to learn and continuously improve their knowledge and skills
  • Interest/passion for neuroscience/neurophysiology

Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience, but an excellent bonus benefits package will also be offered.
