Applications Engineer - UK Wide

My client holds exclusive distribution rights for DN Solutions and Zayer Machine Tools in the UK and Ireland, catering to a diverse range of manufacturing businesses by offering comprehensive CNC machine tools and automation solutions tailored to their specific requirements. Their machines, including lathes and machining centres, are widely utilized in various manufacturing companies, exemplifying our extensive presence in the industry.

Their field-based Applications Team forms an essential part of their business, and they're currently seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about taking their career to the next level. They have an exciting opportunity for the right engineer to join their expanding department.

What you'll be doing:

1. Training customers' personnel in both the operation and programming of machine tools to a level that will ensure that the operator is competent and safe in the use of the machine.
2. Professionally running projects to ensure that the project is delivered to the agreed engineering specification, on time and to budget. Maintaining project documentation in a correct manner to ensure full traceability.
3. Using a Field Service App to log tasks daily, leaving a record of what has been covered and any issues during visits.
4. Gaining and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the product range and attending training when and where necessary on new control systems and machine models.
5. Covering the UK & Ireland, you must be prepared to work away from home during the week.

Who they're looking for:

1. Siemens programming experience is essential.
2. Fanuc or Heidenhain control is an advantage.
3. 5-Axis machining centre & multi-tasking turning centre experience is an advantage.
4. Knowledge of Fusion 360 is an advantage.
5. A time-served engineer with at least 5 years' experience of CNC turning and milling machine tools application.
6. A qualified engineer with a recognised apprenticeship.
