Job summary

Indra Group UK & Ireland Market Deeping, England, GB is seeking an Applications Engineer to support design and development of ground-to-air communications systems. You will learn to understand the system, communicate its purpose, and assume technical responsibility for small projects under supervision.

You will work across areas such as compliance, diagrams, calculations, and specifications, with opportunities to specialise and travel as required. BPSS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in a technical discipline, or strong science/maths A-levels.
• Interest or knowledge of RF communications systems and related tech.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a logical approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, hands-on attitude with a customer service focus.
• Team player capable of collaborating across departments.
• Willing to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and development of ground-to-air communications systems.
• Take technical responsibility for a small system as Project Engineer.
• Produce compliance statements, diagrams, calculations and interface docs.
• Review system drawings and provide defining specifications.
• Define specifications for new products and third-party equipment.
• Generate interface control documents and document non-standard items.
• Carry out required calculations (range, co-location).
• Provide clarification of technical requirements with functional specifications.
