St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. We develop and provide effective community response and outreach services (e.g., Ambulance response & Nighttime Economy) and empower people with vital clinical skills through programs like Volunteers and Community Advocates, NHS Cadets, and Young Responders. We also operate a social enterprise network delivering first aid training and medical supplies.
This is an exciting time of transformation with an opportunity to lead and mature the charity’s data maturity by developing a new data strategy.
The post-holder will work as part of the Development Ops Team, managing and supporting business technology services, applications, and platforms across the organization. Responsibilities include delivering third-line support, enhancements, and project work. They will work within a DevOps methodology, balancing service needs and solution delivery, prioritizing workloads, and identifying opportunities to improve solutions and user experience.
The role requires working to challenging deadlines, leveraging existing and new technologies, staying updated with legislative requirements, and minimizing service interruptions.
You should possess an A-Level (or equivalent) in computing or a related subject, be Microsoft Certified in Power Platform, and have at least one year of experience working within an application team at a similar organization. Experience with business-critical applications, agile and waterfall methodologies, and ITSM/ITIL tools is required. You should also have experience developing technical solutions, performing QA testing, and supporting UAT.
