St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. Job Summary

The post-holder will work as part of the Development Ops Team, managing and supporting business technology services, applications, and platforms across the organization. Responsibilities include delivering third-line support, enhancements, and project work. They will work within a DevOps methodology, balancing service needs and solution delivery, prioritizing workloads, and identifying opportunities to improve solutions and user experience.

The role requires working to challenging deadlines, leveraging existing and new technologies, staying updated with legislative requirements, and minimizing service interruptions.

About You

You should possess an A-Level (or equivalent) in computing or a related subject, be Microsoft Certified in Power Platform, and have at least one year of experience working within an application team at a similar organization. Experience with business-critical applications, agile and waterfall methodologies, and ITSM/ITIL tools is required. You should also have experience developing technical solutions, performing QA testing, and supporting UAT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own resolution of incidents, service requests, and problems within SLAs
  • Assist in resolving P1 and P2 incidents as part of resolution teams
  • Monitor applications, platforms, and datasets, taking preventative actions
  • Perform critical maintenance on COTS applications including PowerPlatform
  • Contribute to project teams to meet deadlines
  • Work within a DevOps framework under the Product Owner's guidance
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, acting as subject matter expert
  • Translate business goals into technical solutions
  • Coordinate with third-party suppliers for enhancements and fixes
  • Create documentation and knowledge-sharing activities
  • Engage in service transition for new services
  • Stay updated on new technologies and legislative changes
  • Perform additional duties as required
