Toshiba Carrier UK (a Carrier company) is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing and supply of energy-efficient air conditioning systems.

Carrier is currently recruiting for a Pre-Sales Applications Engineer. This role will be based at our Leatherhead office, so candidates should ideally live within a commutable distance. Travel may be required occasionally; therefore, candidates must have a valid UK driving license.

The main goal of this role is to effectively utilize software programs across Carrier and Ciat brands to select equipment, prepare technically correct and commercially accurate customer quotations from specifications, prepare site project packs, and track project progress.

What will I be doing as a Pre Sales Engineer?

1. Provide application and pre-sales project technical support for the sales team and customers, on and off site
2. Provide general support to the sales function
3. Provide customer support on selection and quotations
4. Liaise with the factories, technical, contracts, and pre-sales teams when required
5. Provide ongoing customer support throughout the ordering and delivery procedures
6. Collaborate and escalate problematic issues to the management team
7. Be dynamic, think outside the box, and develop solutions to overcome project challenges
8. Issue order acknowledgments, commissioning sheets, and customer satisfaction surveys

Requirements

1. Detailed knowledge of HVAC products, specifically AHU, Fan Coils, Chillers & Heat Pumps
2. Experience within a similar role in the HVAC industry
3. Experience as a Technician in the HVAC industry will also be considered
4. Ideally, have a qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
5. Full UK Driving license (or equivalent)
