Applications Engineer (Full Specialist Training)

£40,000 - £42,000 + Full Technical Training + Career Progression + 33 Days Holiday + Benefits

Cheltenham (Commutable from: Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Evesham, Cirencester, Worcester, Ledbury and surrounding areas)

Are you from a CNC Machining, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering background looking to step into a varied technical role where you will receive full specialist training and opportunities to travel internationally?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised engineering manufacturer where you will develop into a technical expert, working on specialist machinery, developing manufacturing processes and supporting customers across a range of high-precision industries.

The company are an established manufacturer of specialist machinery and tooling, supplying major OEMs and customers worldwide. Due to continued development, they are looking to invest in an engineer who is keen to broaden their technical knowledge and progress their career.

In this role, you will receive full training to carry out engineering trials, machine demonstrations, process development and testing. You will work closely with customers and internal engineering teams, alongside occasional commissioning, technical support and international travel.

This role would suit someone from a CNC, Machining, Manufacturing, Tooling or Mechanical Engineering background looking to move into an Applications Engineer position with excellent long‑term opportunities.

The Role:

• Full training on specialist precision engineering machinery and processes
• Carry out machine testing, engineering trials and process development
• Technical demonstrations, commissioning and customer support
• UK and international travel to customer sites
• Monday - Friday days, early finish Friday

The Person:

• Mechanical, Manufacturing, CNC, Machining or Precision Engineering background
• Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally
• Commutable to Cheltenham
