Job description

We are now recruiting an Applications Engineer for an international systems integration company that is constantly evolving with new technologies. As an Applications Engineer, you will work within a multi-functional team and play a key role in the sales bid process.

You will create 2D and 3D designs based on standard or existing company solutions that meet customer requirements, focusing on cost-effectiveness and optimal solutions.

Responsibilities

  1. Find intelligent solutions to meet customer requirements
  2. Create layout designs using 2D and 3D CAD software
  3. Develop detailed elaborations of solution ideas with the project team
  4. Participate in technical discussions and challenge customer requirements when necessary
  5. Describe conveyed goods (size, weight, barcodes, etc.) in company proposals
  6. Explain internal and third-party logistics equipment in proposals
  7. Present layout and technical (mechatronic) solutions to customers
  8. Support the project delivery team during handover
  9. Compare and validate internal and third-party equipment
  10. Produce calculations, storage dimensions, cost comparisons, and equipment selections
  11. Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, guidelines, and process instructions
  12. Create cost calculations for mechanics and controls

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience as an applications engineer, proposals engineer, mechanical designer, project engineer, or similar in engineering or manufacturing
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Ability to manage key relationships internally and with customers
  • Strong communication skills, team-oriented, open-minded, and proactive
  • Systematic and structured work approach
  • Fluent in English for technical discussions
  • Proficient in MS Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Trimble and SketchUp 3D software
  • Knowledge of mechanics, automation, and logistics processes
  • Familiarity with controls and PLC engineering
  • Knowledge of third-party equipment such as racking systems, labeling machinery, sorting systems, etc.
  • Understanding of competitors' solutions and characteristics
