Applications Engineer (Field based)

Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours / Hybrid 1 day in office - 4 days field-based

Basic Salary: £35,000 to £60,000 per annum, inclusive of annual bonus

Location: 4 days field-based / 1 day office-based in Leicestershire

We are supporting a well-established client in Leicester, operating for over 30 years with a significant presence across the UK. Due to growth, they are seeking an Applications Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Applications Engineer Role:

1. Serve as a central point of contact for suppliers and manufacturers.
2. Promote electrical products internally and externally across the UK by arranging customer visits.
3. Utilize your electronics and/or electrical mechanical qualification to consultatively sell appropriate products.
4. Attend client meetings and identify new market areas and potential customers.
5. Visit key suppliers for business review meetings.
6. Produce and monitor budgets for product groups and communicate with suppliers and colleagues.
7. Manage a product portfolio, understand key electrical products, and identify gaps.
8. Be willing to learn new skills and become a key business player.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Qualification in Electrical Mechanical Engineering.
2. Driven, motivated, and results-oriented in selling electrical products.
3. Self-motivated with excellent diary management skills.
4. Tech-savvy and eager to learn.
