Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Application Developer who is ready to join us and to grow as part of a well-established, dynamic team. You’ll be working in a friendly, supportive team who wants to hear your ideas!

This is a Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Fixed term post – 18 months (January 2025 to June 2026).

You’ll be a member of our Information Services team helping to analyse requirements for, develop, maintain, and configure software solutions as well helping to deliver a range of integrations using cloud first full stack provisioning, deployment and orchestration.

You will be key to the implementation of a new cloud hosted timetabling system for the university. You’ll be a central part of the team defining and developing critical data integrations between different university systems. These systems include the student record system (Ellucian Banner), the virtual learning environment (Moodle), and the new timetabling system via its REST API.

You will be working closely with colleagues in the timetabling and exams teams as well as the supplier to develop the functional requirements and test the solution.
