Applications closed- BAF Request: London-665-Independent Assurance Partner
Job Description
Client
This opportunity is for a project with a university in the UK. An ICG strategic partner has been approached to put together a team to bid for a project under a framework agreement it has in place with the Crown Commercial Service.
The University has begun a Digital Futures Programme; three projects have been approved to move into the procurement phase in October 2019.
These projects are:
- A new IT Operating Model
- A new Procurement, Human Resources and Finance Platform also known as Digital Core
- A new Digital Engagement and Student Recruitment Platform
Role
Among the resources that have been identified to be used on these projects is an independent assurance partner. This resource will work closely with a specialist-sourcing partner and various internal University resources operating at all levels across the Digital Programme. The independent assurance partner will work across all three projects to ensure that they are governed and managed at an appropriate level in order to reduce programme risk.
The University is keen to see evidence of the following in bidders during the tender stage:
- Assurance role akin to this one on a project of £20m+ over an extended time period of over 1 year
- References from public sector clients for similar work
- Advisory experience in public procurement (not necessarily IT), and public/private sector partnerships
- Experience in advisory or oversight of digital enabled projects involving significant change in process and behaviour in a complex organisation
Our partner may supply an overall client relationship manager if needed, and its public sector references will support the collaboration team and the successful ICG resource.
