The Applications Build and Support Team: The key system within the Trust for its electronic patient record is provided by Oracle Cerner Millennium. The department also supports other clinical applications and systems within its remit.

The post holders will provide a customer-focussed service of the highest quality and effectiveness which meets the needs of clinical/corporate services and is delivered in accordance with national guidance, trust Strategy, statutory legislation, and current best practice..

The role of this team is to build and support applications and clinical systems for the Trust, through the provision of a customer focussed collaborative, responsive and clinically safe applications.

The Trust is part of a Group arrangement with Epsom & St Helier Hospitals which has committed to the development of a new shared domain which will make it easier for patients to be treated and for clinicians to work collaboratively across Southwest London, Surrey and beyond. As this new shared EPR domain will be based on the current St George’s domain, it is anticipated that this role will support that development at St Georges.

Main duties of the job

  • The postholder will assist the Applications Specialist SME’s in the team in one or more specialist modules of the Trust iClip application or other systems such as Clinical Documentation, PAS, Order Comms, Critical Care, Digital Dictation/Correspondence etc.
  • The postholder will provide support to managers, providing them with evidence and advice to support recommendations.
  • The postholder will advise, design, and support the development and use of safe processes for the use of applications within services.

  • Support the RA Agents in delivering the RA functions across the trust sites as and when necessary to maintain service levels to clients
  • Manage and control the production of access positions and smartcards in non-Prod domains to support testing and training by other trust and external IDT teams.
