Zenith is seeking an Application Support Technician to help investigate and resolve issues across our internal business systems in a hybrid role based in Altrincham. You'll join our Software Engineering team, collaborating with experienced engineers and stakeholders from across the business, with about one day per week in the office and occasional travel to Leeds during training.

• Some experience or confidence in troubleshooting technical, system or process-related problems.
• A logical and methodical approach to understanding issues and finding solutions.
• Curiosity and an interest in learning how applications, systems and data work.
• Confidence taking ownership of tasks and progressing them through to resolution.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with information and data.
• Exposure to SQL, databases, scripting or application support would be beneficial but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Help investigate and resolve issues affecting internal applications and their users.
• Gather information from users to understand problems and identify possible causes.
• Review application information, system records and data to support troubleshooting.
• Complete basic system configuration, maintenance and administrative activities.
• Escalate complex issues and application defects to Software Engineers when required.
• Keep stakeholders informed and provide clear updates as issues progress.
• Maintain support documentation and identify recurring issues or opportunities to improve.

We are currently looking for an Application Support Technician to help investigate and resolve issues across our internal business systems. You don't need extensive technical experience, but you'll need some experience or confidence in troubleshooting problems, along with the curiosity to understand how systems work and find the right solution.

You'll become part of our Software Engineering team, working closely with experienced Software Engineers and stakeholders from across the business. This is a great opportunity to build your knowledge of applications, systems and data, gain exposure to software engineering and develop your technical career in a supportive environment. The role is based in Altrincham, with approximately one day per week in the office following your initial training and occasional travel to Leeds.
