Job Description

About the Role:

You will be responsible for leading a mid-sized team and will require in-depth knowledge of support systems in a 24x7x365 environment. You should be able to work under pressure, take initiative, and make tough decisions for business success. A good general knowledge of hardware, infrastructure, operating systems, ITIL support processes, and excellent people management skills are essential, along with a committed attitude and the ability to drive team performance.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Managing a busy team of Technical Analysts from Junior to Senior levels.
  2. Ensuring team support meets defined standards and SLAs for incidents, requests, and problems.
  3. Ensuring work is completed within agreed deadlines.
  4. Maintaining up-to-date and fit-for-purpose support documentation.
  5. Providing on-the-job training for team members across support disciplines.
  6. Setting SMART objectives and measuring performance through the appraisal process.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a 24x7x365 client-facing environment.
  • Management of Microsoft Azure applications.
  • Experience with multi-terabyte SQL Server/Oracle environments.
  • Networking experience within large organizational structures and relationship leveraging.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices.
  • Experience with Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
  • Working with third-party infrastructure and networking teams.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make justified decisions.
