Cheshire West and Chester Council's Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) department is looking to recruit 2 x experienced and motivatedApplication Support Analyststo support effective, user focused applicationsupport and ensure applications are reliable and available for application owners andusers. This is a grade 6 role,£28,598 - £31,022(as of April 2025 pay band figures).

Responsibilities include:

  • Operate within agreed technical standards and ITIL procedures such that the technical integrity of the application environment is maintained effectively and to agreed standards.
  • Develop and maintain interest and some understanding of the relevant technologies to ensure that routine technical issues are fully resolved.
  • Operate within agreed application management processes, including operational liaison across the service, supporting the delivery of updates, upgrades, testing, and configuration management.
  • Support the successful implementation of new functionality to ensure it is adopted by business users, applying new capability to business problems.
  • Support and maintain the management of interfaces and integration of applications they support.
  • Work with users to ensure business requirements are understood.
  • Work as part of the team to represent the business providing an interface into DDaT services and third party around hardware and infrastructure issues impacting application performance
  • Contribute to troubleshooting simple issues and working with colleagues to identify solutions and provide timely and responsive technical support to requests and issues identified by business areas

The ideal candidate will have anNVQ Level 3 qualification in ICT or equivalent experience and meet the essential criteria specified on the job profile.
