Job Title: Application Support

Client: FinTech trading

Salary: Up to £150,000 + Bonus/Benefits

Location: London (Hybrid)

My client is a tech-driven proprietary trading firm seeking to expand their Application Support team. They prefer candidates with prior front office experience to provide technical support and engineering functions for proprietary and third-party trading systems. The role is highly technical with a focus on automation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure readiness of the global trading platform for pre-trading and post-trading activities.
• Monitor and support the entire transaction flow across the trading platform.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve alerts and issues promptly, or escalate them to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with trading community, back office, brokers, exchanges, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Supervise automated processes, scheduled jobs, and routine reports.
• Create tooling and automate processes to optimize workflows.
• Coordinate with Dev and Infrastructure teams on software and version releases.

Candidate requirements:

• 3+ years supporting front office applications/trading systems
• Strong scripting/development skills in at least one language (Python preferred) - Must have
• Strong understanding of Linux OS - Must have
• SQL experience
• Experience with KDB is a plus
• Degree in computer science or related field
• Innovative technology skills, 5-10 years ahead of the competition
