Job Title: Application Support

Client: FinTech trading

Salary: Up to £150,000 + Bonus/Benefits

Location: London (Hybrid)

My client is a tech-driven proprietary trading firm looking to expand their Application Support team. They seek someone with prior front-office experience to provide technical support and engineering functions for their proprietary and third-party trading systems. This role is highly technical with a focus on automation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure readiness of the global trading platform for pre-trading and post-trading activities.
• Monitor and support the transaction flow across the trading platform.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve alerts/issues promptly or escalate to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with trading, back-office, brokers, exchanges, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Supervise automated processes, scheduled jobs, and reports.
• Create tooling and automate processes to optimize workflows.
• Coordinate with Dev and Infrastructure teams on software releases.

Candidate requirements:

• 3+ years supporting front-office applications/trading systems.
• Strong scripting/development skills in Python (must have).
• Strong Linux OS understanding (must have).
• SQL experience.
• KDB experience is a plus.
• Degree in computer science or related field.
• Technologically advanced, 5-10 years ahead of the competition.
