Job Title: Application Support

Client: FinTech trading

Salary: Up to £150,000 + Bonus/Benefits

Location: London (Hybrid)

My client is a fully tech-driven proprietary trading firm looking to expand their Application Support team. They seek someone with prior front office experience to provide technical support and engineering functions for their proprietary and third-party trading systems. This role is highly technical with a strong focus on automation.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure readiness of the global trading platform for pre-trading and post-trading activities.
2. Monitor and support the entire transaction flow across the trading platform.
3. Identify, analyze, and resolve alerts and issues promptly, or escalate them to minimize disruptions and prevent outages.
4. Collaborate with trading, back office, brokers, exchanges, development, and infrastructure teams.
5. Supervise automated processes, scheduled jobs, and routine reports.
6. Create tooling and automate processes to optimize workflows and address inefficiencies.
7. Coordinate with Dev and Infrastructure teams on software and version releases.

Candidate Requirements:

1. 3+ years supporting front office applications/trading systems.
2. Strong scripting/development skills in Python or similar languages. Must have.
3. Strong understanding of Linux OS. Must have.
4. SQL experience.
5. Experience with KDB is a plus.
6. Degree in computer science or a related field.
7. Experience with cutting-edge technology, 5-10 years ahead of the competition.
