Role Overview:

An experienced Application Support Analyst is required to support and maintain middle and back-office applications within a fast-paced trading environment. The role involves managing incidents, deploying releases, and ensuring application stability, while working closely with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage incidents, service requests, and major production issues.
• Deploy and monitor application releases in live environments.
• Identify and implement improvements in performance and automation.
• Maintain up-to-date support documentation and knowledge bases.
• Support end-of-day batch processing and business reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage third-party relationships.
• Contribute to internal IT and application support projects.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 5+ experience in application support, ideally within trading or financial services.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Windows Server, MS SQL, and web technologies.
• Familiarity with ETRM systems and the ITIL framework.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and effectively.

Desirable:

• Experience with PowerShell, Active Batch, Power BI, or TFS.
• Team leadership experience
• Understanding of trade lifecycle, P&L, settlements, and risk.
• Degree in a numerate or computing-related discipline.
