About the Role

The Application Support Engineer will deliver technical and procedural support to internal teams and external stakeholders in the front office. This role involves managing incidents, troubleshooting application issues, and ensuring quick resolution of outages. Collaboration with infrastructure, service desk, and IT teams is essential, requiring a proactive approach and strong ownership of support responsibilities.

Ideal candidates will have experience with Trading Platforms and Trade Surveillance, with daily tasks involving PowerShell scripting and SQL database management.

Location

Hybrid (3 days in the office), London

Key Skills and Expertise

• Proficiency in Windows and Linux/Unix environments, SQL, Oracle databases, and server infrastructure like ION, IBM MQ, Deltix, TT, and ATEO.
• Experience in financial services, trading, clearing, and settlement processes across various markets.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, change management, and process improvements.
• Experience with API onboarding, FIX messaging, market connectivity, and high-frequency trading platforms.
• Support experience in regulated environments with an understanding of compliance and risk.
• Must have strong PowerShell scripting skills.
