Job Description

We are seeking a motivated candidate for a key role in the Application Production Services organization within a Global Markets environment. The successful candidate will join a newly created Intraday Risk Support team, providing global support initially to Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) traders who utilize a strategic intraday risk and P&L platform, with plans to expand coverage to Equities trading in the future.

The establishment of this team in Q2 2025 represents a strategic initiative to build an efficient and specialized support function offering the following benefits:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to innovation and possess the drive to contribute to value-adding projects, helping to develop an industry-leading intraday risk support capability. This trader-facing role involves both business-as-usual (BAU) support and project work, providing excellent opportunities to deepen expertise in various technology domains. Comprehensive training and onboarding will be provided to set the successful candidate up for success in the role.

Role Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for intraday risk-related issues affecting FICC business users
  • Troubleshoot complex trade and market data flow issues end-to-end
  • Lead onboarding support for new lines of business and workflows
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with business stakeholders, application developers, and infrastructure teams
  • Proactively identify and resolve problem hotspots
  • Contribute to tool development and efficiency improvement initiatives
  • Manage incidents and problems in accordance with established processes
  • Oversee event management activities including monitoring and alert lifecycle management
  • Define and drive improvements in monitoring tools and technical processes
  • Support capacity, performance, and resiliency management initiatives
  • Engage in in-house projects and tool development work
  • Deliver clear stakeholder communication and reporting
  • Participate in knowledge management efforts

Desired Skills

  • Prior experience providing direct production support to front office trading desks
  • Business knowledge of fixed income products
  • Understanding of market data flows and dependencies
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and Geneos
  • Proficiency in Unix and SQL
  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks
