A UK public service organization in Manchester is seeking an Application Support Engineer to enhance its IT services. The candidate will lead the development and maintenance of applications using Microsoft technologies like SQL, SharePoint, and Power BI. This is an exciting opportunity to join the PHSO’s IT Solution Services as an Application Support Engineer, based in Manchester. The Solution Services team aims to create an environment where we provide an excellent service to our business colleagues. We are a small, dynamic, and flexible team that works together to provide high-quality and comprehensive support, dealing with rapidly changing priorities and a wide range of tasks that are often urgent, complex, and sensitive.
The focus of the role will be to develop the organisation's applications, which include a mixture of Cloud-hosted IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings. A key requirement is to lead, develop, and maintain the organisation's data structures and systems, utilizing technologies from the Microsoft stack such as SQL, SharePoint, and Power BI. The organisation has developed an in-house Data Warehouse system, and the role will assist with its maintenance and further development.
The successful candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strategic approach to diary management. They should be accustomed to providing a high standard of service in a customer-focused environment.
