The Role and Duties
This position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your technical expertise and develop new skills. As a skilled engineer with customer-facing experience, you will have a passion for supporting clients and guiding projects from proof of concept to final delivery.
You may have experience in roles such as Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Engineer, or Support Engineer, and you may have knowledge of mobile mapping solutions, 3D points clouds, LiDAR, perception software, Linux, and networking.
Responsibilities will include:
• Providing pre-sales and after-sales support, addressing technical queries and resolving issues, including handling hardware returns.
• Supporting various products, including LiDAR, perception software, inertial navigation, and georeferencing solutions, with potential for expansion into additional technologies.
• Managing proof-of-concept projects and ensuring successful implementation.
• Maintaining and updating a support ticketing system.
• Assisting with marketing efforts by setting up demonstrations and collecting sample data.
• Attending occasional exhibitions, customer meetings, and supplier training across the UK.
• Standard office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The Candidate
Prior experience in customer-focused role.
Strong knowledge of Linux and networking.
Familiarity with LiDAR would be advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective customer interactions.
Competent IT skills, with experience using CRM or ticketing systems being advantageous.
Self-motivated and proactive in supporting customers and company initiatives.
Ability to work well within a small team while engaging with large organisations.
The Package
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
25 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown.
