Application Support Engineer required. My client is a leading software company based in Crowborough.

The successful candidate will be joining a team of 25 people. You will be working on a bespoke & evolving software package, therefore they are looking for candidates who have 2nd Line Support Experience and a quick learner to build their knowledge of the software package.

Position overview

  • You will be responsible for dealing with client’s questions and technical issues both via telephone and email.
  • You will be hands-on and experienced with Software Application Support and will have the ability to pick up new systems quickly as their
  • software is constantly being updated and developed.
  • Liaising with clients / customers over the phone
  • Ensure our clients systems runs smoothly and all issues are resolved as soon as possible.
  • Receiving, logging and resolving IT issues
  • To ensure that all software systems, procedures and processes are effectively documented to agreed standards
  • Liaise with external suppliers of software / hardware systems and other specialist teams
  • Undertake system administration tasks

Position requirements

  • Experience in a similar role or as a 2nd Line support Technician
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience working in Software
  • SQL Experience would be an advantage
  • Have a passion for learning new skills and enjoy working within a team
  • Friendly but professional in your approach
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Position Remuneration

  • Monday to Friday 9am – 17:30pm.
  • Salary £22,000 – 28,000 DOE
  • 25 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Pension Scheme
