Job Description:

A high priority position has arisen to join a leading trading organisation as an Application Support Analyst, responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of key trading systems used across global operations.

This is a critical role within the IT team, focused on maintaining and enhancing the production environment of core trading platforms.

You will provide both technical and functional support for a suite of business-critical applications across front, middle and back office. The business utilise a mixed ETRM estate (including Endur) but the business are open to cross-training people who have experience with trading and risk management systems such as Murex, Fidessa, Calypso, Findur, Finastra or similar platforms.

The role plays a vital part in managing end-of-day processes, troubleshooting issues, and driving service excellence through continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for managed applications, ensuring rapid and effective resolution of production issues.
  • Manage and track incidents through to closure, communicating clearly with stakeholders throughout.
  • Escalate complex issues to 3rd line support (internal teams or external vendors) as appropriate.
  • Monitor system performance and availability, working to meet or exceed defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure all application releases and configuration changes are well-managed, documented, and include appropriate rollback plans.
  • Develop and enhance production support procedures to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in the onboarding of new software from delivery projects, ensuring support readiness and proper knowledge transfer.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation for resolving key system issues and processes.
  • Execute and monitor end-of-day processes for supported trading systems.
  • Maintain master data within designated applications following business approvals.
  • Provide support during disaster recovery tests and failover scenarios when required.
  • Experience supporting trading and risk managements systems, including, but not limited to: Endur, Allegro, Symphony, Aspect, Murex, Fidessa, Calypso, Findur, Finastra
  • Strong understanding of trading processes and environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented, high-pressure environment.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and adapting to shifting priorities.
