Navantia UK is a new force in British industry, supporting the UK’s defence, security and energy transition ambitions. We’re doing this by creating state-of-the-art sovereign defence capabilities, investing in the UK to modernise industrial facilities, and bolstering the nation's energy security. Established in 2022, Navantia UK is a subsidiary of Navantia SA, a Spanish state-owned company with over 300 years of naval shipbuilding history. In January 2025, Navantia UK completed the acquisition of Harland & Wolff and its four historic facilities in Belfast, Appledore, Methil, and Arnish. By combining Harland & Wolff’s proud heritage and facilities with Navantia’s global expertise, Navantia UK is well-positioned to strengthen Britain’s defence, maritime and energy industrial capabilities, supporting jobs and economic growth across the UK.
Be the on‑site expert for business and enterprise applications, ensuring stable, reliable, and proactive application support across the site. You will keep critical engineering and manufacturing applications running, providing first‑line support and owning tickets through to resolution. This role places you at the heart of the operation supporting PLM, CAD, and SAP, as well as everyday applications, working directly with engineers and production teams, and taking full ownership of issues from first report to final fix.
Acting as the local interface between site teams and stakeholders, Enterprise Applications, and the wider IT organisation, you will support, a complex engineering and manufacturing environment. The role requires strong hands‑on experience with business‑critical systems, particularly PLM and CAD, and a clear understanding of how applications enable engineering, production, and operational processes. If you thrive in hands‑on application support, understand engineering workflows, and want real ownership of mission‑critical systems, this role is for you.
