The Application Specialist role is a key technical position at The Very Group, focused on supporting, maintaining, and optimising business-critical applications. This role involves hands-on work, following best practices, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality solutions that align with organisational goals.
The Application Specialist is responsible for application management, troubleshooting, and providing support to ensure smooth operations. The role also involves collaborating with team members, learning new technologies, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to support growth and innovation.
This position plays an important role in ensuring applications perform effectively, helping The Very Group deliver excellent customer service and achieve its strategic objectives.
We’re creating a brand-new AdTech (Advertising Technologies) squad encompassing the digital tools, software and platforms TVG use to manage, deliver, target and analyse digital marketing activity. This squad will be central to The Very Group’s evolution in digital marketing.
This hybrid, cross-functional team will consist of software and data engineers, data specialists, and analysts, collaborating to deliver an ambitious and innovative roadmap. Operating at the intersection of software, data, privacy, and digital marketing, the team will develop solutions that drive real business impact. The squad is accountable for key capabilities such as:
Application Support and Maintenance
Stakeholder Collaboration
System Optimisation and Enhancements
Incident and Problem Management
Compliance and Security
Reporting and Documentation

First stage – A one-hour face to face or remote interview with the team.
Second Stage - Final Interview with a Senior Stakeholder within the Team (this stage will possibly include a task)
