Job summary

Burges Salmon LLP is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 specialist to expand expertise in Copilot and AI, supporting and developing Microsoft 365 across the firm.

You will be a subject matter expert, providing specialist support and helping ensure a secure, reliable and evolving Microsoft 365 environment. The role offers ongoing learning and exposure to emerging technology to turn developments into practical improvements for our people.

Qualifications

• Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 in a complex environment, preferably in professional services.
• Knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra and Purview.
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365 Copilot, security, permissions and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support across Copilot, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Office.
• Act as an escalation point for complex Microsoft 365 and Copilot issues.
• Support Copilot configuration, licensing, access and service improvements.
• Collaborate with Technology, Innovation, Risk and Information Security for secure AI adoption.
• Test and support new Microsoft 365 and Copilot features and updates.
• Turn user feedback and trends into practical improvements.
• Keep ahead of the Microsoft roadmap and identify opportunities for the firm.

Are you an experienced Microsoft 365 specialist looking to expand your potential and build your expertise in Copilot and AI?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Applications Team and play a key role in how we support and develop Microsoft 365 and Copilot across the firm.

Working with teams across the firm, you'll combine technical expertise with a user-focused approach, helping ensure our Microsoft 365 environment is secure, reliable and continually evolving. You'll have the opportunity to keep learning, explore emerging technology, and help turn new developments into practical improvements for our people.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be a subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 and Copilot, providing specialist support while helping us make the most of new and emerging technology.

• Providing specialist support across Copilot, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Office.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, and keen to continue developing their expertise as Microsoft 365, Copilot and AI evolve.

• Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 in a complex environment (professional services is desirable)
• Knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra and Purview.
• A good understanding of Microsoft 365 Copilot, security, permissions and governance.
• Experience providing third-line application support and resolving complex issues.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, curious mindset with an interest in AI and emerging technology.
